Was that an earthquake... nope just my pipe... or the absence of one

OK, here it goes, I went to refurbish my old carbonfiber pipe and its going to take a while for my friend to do it, so I am currently riding around chch without a pipe. And Holly Shit I am overwhelmed with joy, that soundfull roar, it sounds like I have just mutated my kitten into a fully grown tiger who is just about to go on a rampage. But here is a question, is there a law or a policy against what I am doing? How loud can a bike be? Is it ok to ride without a pipe for a week or so? Thanks

You'll be sweet bro, bikes are allowed to make as much noise as they like... good time to get a warrant too.

The law has just changed but it is still quite loud for bikes. just don't push your luck around a cop .

lol, well... I duno, if someone would follow behind me in a helcopter at 4am they would see me riding into the darkness leaving screaming babies, sounding car alarms behind me, and also a fully lit up street from where I have just rode. Kiwi Bikers Bread Crums!
