Yep, theres years and years to have fun on it, take your time. Ride it around at a large grassy park - stay in first gear, concentrate on the super-slow-speed exercises. You need stability, and you need to be relaxed, and then you will fly through your basic handling skills course.

Not taking it just using it for the test, my brother-in-law will ride it there and back for me.

As it turns out the rego had lapsed and the bike has gone for an inspection today, so i didn't even get it last night :-( should be ready for me tonight though. I've got the day off tomorrow so hopefully I will get some time to practice.

    Hey ... You''ll be sweet.

My total experience on a bike was riding my GPX250 A total of about 15 metres from iside my garage out into the driveway, chucking her in neutral and wheeling her back, about 50-60 times (over a couple of days), and I passed.

Dont get me wrong, more practice the better but I wouldnt worry about the test, its doable even with next to no experience.

Good Luck and enjoy the bike !

If you can ride a push bike and learn to use the clutch you will be fine !

The BHS aint so much a test, its designed to teach you the skills you need to be a learner ( so ya wont crash in the back of someone etc) Don't sweat it, its easier than (bites his tongue) really easy hehe not that i've done one lol in my day we sat the 25 writen and 5 oral Q, then went for a ride with the cop following same day ! Funny that haha they're still following me !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Now that's just teasing Rhino, having a bike and not able to ride it.

I'll look forward to hearing you say how easy it is after you flew through the BHT.

Welcome to KB and the crazy world of riding

The bike got delivered on Friday afternoon, I got to ride around the block twice and went for the BHS course yesterday. I really enjoyed it, the bike was so much fun to ride and after about 10 minutes just felt great.

There were about a dozen people on the course and very few people had their own bikes. Mine was quite popular being somthing different from the GN125's they were using, at the end three of the guys asked if they could take mine for a spin round the course, they all loved it too.

Anyway as for the skills course I passed all dicipline's 1st time, but cheated just a little and used the GN125 (at the instructors advice) for the slalem . Hoping to do the scratchy test on Monday or Tuesday.
