Let's just say that I should have played AFTER this event :disapint:. It was cold, wet, windy and at the moment I play about once every 6 months. The worse news is that up until the 9th I was 6 strokes up on my mate, but dropped them over the next 3 holes, then we had to call it off due to a baby related call for help from SWMBO. Bugger.

Some police can certainly be a bit ignorant when in traffic and doing 90 etc, with the knowledge that Joe average is too chicken shit to pass them.

Some people are equally as ignorant when passing cops and cameras though! Doh! We need a measuriser for ignorance so we can keep these people of the roads!

I was riding back from Waiuku, south of Auckland, after a game of golf (don't ask how I got the clubs there) on the 29thand it was seriously wet. Got on the motorway at Drury and started my run North by getting as many cars behind me as I could so I didn't catch their spray. Just as I passed the Papakura off-ramp, I passed an HP car that was in the South bound lane with his lights and siren going (must have been late for a corn-holing or beating somewhere). Now here's the thing...as the HP was going past, the cars in front of me braked. So I braked, happy in the knowledge that the nearest car to my arse was a good 200 metres back (god bless the fast lane and all that sail in her).

Imagine my surprise then when a white Honda Accord (or Integra) hove into view through my mirrors, but the strange thing was that it was sideways! This tit had jammed his anchors on so hard that he had locked the front and either his suspension was sufficiently f*cked that it made him dive to the right, or he actually turned the damn wheel. The kicker is that, as far as I could tell, there was no-one in front of him at all, he just did it due to the cop on the other side of the median barrier.

Luckily I had just passed this prick, else he would have gone straight into me. As it was, I got away clean, and he ended up sideways blocking both lanes of the motorway, which I am sure would have resulted in a number of nose-to-tails while people tried to avoid him.

The words "close" and "call" spring to mind.
The words "dumb" and "arse" comes to my mind
Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.
