Neither, if you're planning on being the pillion.

    Push him towards an STX1300.

When nobody was looking I had a squish of Hook's pillion seat. Very plush. I'd stay put if I were you...

Tough comparison -- a v-twin versus an inline four. A bit like deciding between chocolate or strawberry icecream...

Shouldn't that be inline-4 vs inline-4 (fireblade vs gsxr)?

Fireblade is a more user friendly bike from what I have been told. It'll probably better suit the road, maybe... The GSXR is great all round but it is probably better suited for the track. Maybe WT and one of the new Blade owners can object to this statement or confirm it. From what I have been told by some owners, GSXR can really be a handful if you wana give it heaps where as Honda handeling is a lot nicer on the rider.

If you are talking about which one is better performance wise, then you'd need to be a top racer to find out the difference as all modern 1000 cc inline four sports bikes are top stuff packed with insane amounts of HP.

Well spotted. Still getting the hang of this Honda stuff, obviously. Fireblade, Firestorm, sigh...

Yes, I've pillioned on a colleague's GSX1100, and it stood up to the test very well. You won't find anything significantly more comfortable.

If it's all about image, just close your eyes and imagine it's a YZR-M1 (since RC211Vs aren't sexy any more).

Just realised your profile details. If that was a general question then, it all depends on the needs and wants of the specific rider. Some people a gixxer guys/gals and some people are honda guys/gals. You can't really go too wrong if you pick either one if you are not brand concerned.

If you really were asking which bike is better to pillion on then, you are a braver man than I. Cause both of them are reduculously quick, specially to be a pillion on

i was asking which is better to pillion on, when you sit on dads seat for about half an hour it begins to start feeling like a rock...when i took a ride on the back of badlutennants vfr 750 for about 45 mins it still felt quite comfortable,
but for some reason dad doesnt like honda's
