Re suzuki's ugly exhaust, apparently it is where the catalytic convertor is housed (for emission regs) so a quick change to an aftermarket pipe gets rid of the cc in one easy go. Makes sense now doesn't it?

THIS IS CONTRADICTORY TO THE SPANISH TEST AROUND THE TRACK THE BLADE WAS THE SLOWEST IT EVEN GOT BEATEN BY THE GSXR750. IT FELT SLOW CAUSE IT WAS SLOW ACCORDING TO 15 GOOD RIDERS . WHEN A BIKE SQUIRMS OR SLIDES ITS NOT ALWAYS BAD SOMETIMES ITS JUST THE BIKE TALKING TO YOU, AND FEED BACK FROM A BIKE CAN BE GOOD THINGOriginally Posted by onearmedbandit

Me bein a Honda man I back this 100% and I'm not biased. My Mrs is a Kawasaki girl and The ZX10 was the next best Japper in WSBs. So this awesome Suzuko track bike was where?????Originally Posted by Honda
I tell you! Behind Honda, a shitload of Ducs and a couple of Kawasakis and a few more Ducs just for good measure........... Bwaaahahahahahahahahaha.
Personally if I were you I wouldn't want either. Not unless I was to strap a cushion off the sofa to it! Buying a hard out sport bike to carry a pillion is comparable to buying a coupe as a family car I woulda thought??
In saying that riding on the back of the ZX9R is not that bad, but back then (94) the pillion pads were a bit bigger from current observations...........
lol yep absolutely..... anyone can say tush.....Originally Posted by Mencius

Come on Stevo, these reports have come from riders who really know how to push bikes, who get paid to do it, some who race them for a living. And the important phrase to remember here is "in comparison with".Originally Posted by Stevo
Selective reading I see. Try PB comparos in Aug and Oct 04. Six out of the six testers (Oct) picked the Blade over the other 1000s including the MV. The test covered road and track use. Then there's RIDE's public survey of 10,000 UK bikers who picked ... try and guess. The journos can't agree so why should we.Originally Posted by WINJA
Blades retail at $20,900 by the way. Hey who cares, if I still had one of my SL125s I'd argue that it's the best bike around.
Anyway WINJA are you going to come to any track days at Manfeild? I can't make the 15 Jan but want to get a day in soon.
Happiness is a means of travel, not a destination
NZ Superbike racing suggests GSXR's rule, you may not have noticed but no factory Suzuki in WSBK, well there will be this year with Troy Corser and Yuki Kagiyama racing for Corona Suzuki. How about AMA Superbike? How did the mighty HRC backed Ben Bostrom piloted CBR do? Got its arse kicked by Mat Mladin again on the GSXR, how about BSB? Another GSXR victory, oh and I own a Honda.....
Make mine a double.Originally Posted by Mencius
