    Tush

I been up, I been down.
Take my word, my way around.
    I ain't askin' for much.
I said, Lord, take me downtown,
I'm just lookin' for some tush.

I been bad, I been good,
    Dallas, Texas, Hollywood.
    I ain't askin' for much.
I said, Lord, take me downtown,
I'm just lookin' for some tush.

Take me back way back home,
    not by myself, not alone.
    I ain't askin' for much.
I said, Lord, take me downtown,
I'm just lookin' for some tush.

[QUOTE=Mark Dunn]Selective reading I see. Try PB comparos in Aug and Oct 04. Six out of the six testers (Oct) picked the Blade over the other 1000s including the MV. The test covered road and track use. Then there's RIDE's public survey of 10,000 UK bikers who picked ... try and guess. The journos can't agree so why should we.
    QUOTE]

The one conclusion I drew from PB article was that generally speaking the Japper bikes are that similar that it really comes down to personal preference. But of course the Honda is always better!
That article did not inspire one to go out and spend your fortune on the MV Agusta though did it MD?

The reason why CBR's are so common in the UK is that they are brilliant bikes - and yes I have owned one. I've also been lucky enough to have been able to "look after" : a mates Gixxer 1000 while he went back to Europe for a month. Both bikes are great fun, but the Gixxer has a more edge of the seat riding style about it and not the most comfortable for any great distance. The CBR gets my vote though as its an easier more comfortable bike to live with. But if it's balls out speed tou want then the Gixxer is the one to choose.

Me - I ride a Blackbird, very fast if you want it to be, sedate and calm when you don't, brilliant for pillions and very easy to handle despite its size.

    Worlds best touring bikes?

    Right you lot !!!! .......

    :sly:

I am not and never will be contemplating changing my ride !! I love my old bitch and find that she still, some almost 20 years after manufacture, does what I like a bike to do !! With new rubber she still handles brilliantly even at speed, although I don't ride as hard as I used to...(too many responsibilities now !!) With a good tune up, which she needs badly ....and will be happening real soon .... she can still get up and bark when I ask and on the longer rides the position and comfort level are great. Wet or dry the conditions are irrelevant !! I still have this bike because it does what I want in all areas and fits me like a glove. It's not flash or new but it is all I need to enjoy being on 2 wheels ... and given the chance later in the year when I have finally got myself some decent riding gear ( 14 years off and nothing fits WTF ???) I will get the bitch out on the track and have a go at pushing it to see who's lost it the most ...her or me !!! ....I'm picking me !!

    SO there .....

Then again if I win lotto this weekend..... one of each of the above mentioned would look bloody nice in the gargre !!! ......

The 2005 Honda CBR1000RR is being raced by a small team with "no preformance upgrades" as stated by the team boss. I had the fortune to watch on Sky. Not only is it doing pretty well, but its a standard bike that is keeping up with the fully worked Ducatis from the big teams. So before anyone else continues to slag off the 2005 CBR1000RR it would be helpfull to look at all the facts and in fact not believe all that is published as the CBR racing in the superbike racing is appartently the same as can be purchased in the local Honda dealerships. Its cool to prefer one over the other, but those saying the Suzuki is better need to read the true facts before getting rather opinionated as it just shows that some are wrong here

I watch WSB indeed. I also watch the test sessions.

Troy Corser went 1.5 secs faster than Laconi, 2 secs faster than Toseland and 2.1 secs faster than Vermulen on Lavillas 2 season old Gixxer.

Matt Mladin is already 1.5 seconds faster than any other AMA Superbike rider at the Daytona tyre test after only one day on a completely untested and developed new model Gixxer.

I don't have to tell you that he's also won the past 2 years on the trot on a Gixxer 1k and 5 in total, all on GSXRs.

But I will tell you that.

    Arrow All teams

with a high budget and many higher preformance bikes. But what you say does not stack up with the last season, mostly Ducati winning. Perhaps when Chris V is recognised for the top rider he is may the CBR get the work done to it so that it may go faster and leave the rest behind

Japanese factory support is back in WSB for 2005 so it'll be a stella year. Specialy with Suzuki doing all the winning.
