:confused2 Ducati was everywhere with different teams

So unless there is another World Superbike Championship, what are yer all on about?
You do realise that for 2004 most factories boycotted World Superbike after numerous rule changes and the introduction of Pirelli tyres? Hence no official factory Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki or Yamaha teams entered. Surely you must have noticed this???

Thats why I posted about the other Superbike championships where the other teams apart from Ducati were racing, like the British, AMA and NZ scene, not sure who won in Japan. Only Australia had the CBR1000RR winning......
However this year 2005 should be an awesome year for WSBK. Suzuki are back with Troy Corser and Yuki Kajayama (who has been racing in the UK) Yamaha are back with Nori Haga, Sebastian Gimbert and Norifumi Abe.
Honda look to have two Ten Kate bikes plus Frankie Chilli and looks like Ben Bostrom will be CBR mounted.

Yep I spent 3 years doing the student thing and now that I've done the degree I can afford the whatever I want and whatever the misses says. She says that once we have paid our last debt off that I will be getting the Fireblade

OK here's my Fifty cent for what it is worth.

Having owned both a 1990 VFR750 (Verronica) and a 1990 CBR1000FL (Roxanne), the feed back from my pillions favour the CBR. Both bike were made mainly with Touring in mind. The VFR was better as an all-rounder. Better on the track, better commuting in heavy inner city traffic, but "Roxanne" rules went it comes to doing the distances and taking pillions.
Pure Race bikes like the Fireblade and the Gixxer were never made with pillions in mind so it is not fair the compare them on that.
Gixxer have had it their own way in Kiwi Racing for too long. This is probably because we could not afford to race anything else and the sponsership was not there. This season with see Gixxers really challanged in NZ as top riders will be competing on RI's, CBR1000RR, as well as the Gixxer's. The results are going to be interesting. I'm looking forward to The John Bitten Mem this year as it will see some truely SuperBike clashs. At the end of the day, when you are talking about racing, these bikes are all top bikes. The winner will be decided by who has the best rider with the best support team (as shown by Rossi), not which one of these brands the bike they are riding is.

PS: I am dissappoint the Honda has not put out a new version of my CBR1000FL as this bike is a good sports tourer and as such (in my oppion) is better suited for the masses. Racing is for the track, not the road.

What about the Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird, surely this was the replacement for the CBR1000F?
Blue Wing Honda with Castrol sponsership have had a crack at the NZ Superbike title before as has Tony Rees racing a Yamaha for a number of years now? It hasnt been solely Suzuki racing, just Suzuki winning!!!
