    Been made redundant

Bugger... just been told today...4 weeks to go.
Not great as in middle of custody battle and sorting out mortgage, however, they are just following tyhe "Process" and I know some people will not take roles so there could be some spaces.

If anyone knows of any jobs going, even temping, pm's would be greatly received.

    Will do almost anything...

    Brief:

Insurance 27 years at all levels...Claims and Management.
Changed to current job - Administration to give me a lifestyle change with looking after Nats giving me flexibility.

A wee but worried, however, feeling strong and positive and just let out the 2nd spare room so funny how things work eh so this all helps.

    Life's rich tapestry eh?

All good. There's plenty of jobs in construction (in the office) - They're screaming out for good people. Good luck G
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

I may be able to get you a temp job in a hospital (no prior exp or quals needed) - mostly night shift, suicide watch that sort of thing. Let me know.

I was made redundant by the same company in 2002.

When my wife at the time was five months pregnant.

To be perfectly honest, even if he does end up having to twiddle his thumbs for a month or two, Graham's in a far better position than I was then. I didn't die, and he won't either. All will sort itself out; he's a smart cookie with a great CV and I have no doubt whatsoever that he'll be able to stroll into a plum new role in no time flat.

Still, it's always a bastard having to rush around looking for new employment. Best of luck to the Cockney G-unit!

Bummer! But you'll be right, Graham, you've had bigger obstacles put in your way. Best wishes for your soon to be found new job

You’ll be right, class it as a well deserved holiday. redundant workers are snapped up faster than cookies out of a cookie jar.

Yep. Twice redunandant in 2 years for me at the moment. So Grahame, I know how stressful it is and how much it can suck. But I firmly for those people with a bit of a head on their shoulders and who are willing to work, that there is always work out there to be had! Good luck mate!

Best of luck to you GB - happened to me in 1991 but I had no offspring at the time so wasn't a big deal.

You'll come through this well of that I have no doubt.

Tuff luck mate, hope you can turn it around quickly and good luck with the custody battle as well. Life just plain sucks sometimes.

    Ahh Bugger!
Good luck sorting somthing out, don't turn your back on the place completely, you might be able to contract back to them at a much higher rate.
Having subbies instead of staff seems to be the flavour again.
