    Off-road bikes at Murawai?

    hey, i have been looking at buying another dirtbike for a while now..very interested in a late model kdx.

    went up the beach today and saw lots of guys out riding thier dirt bikes on the beach, but have heard riding on the beach without wof and reg is now illegal?

    does anyone know what the story is?

    You are correct it is illegal! Dont do it only dicks do it! There are plenty of legal events to ride at that are a lot better and safer!!

    Riding on the beach is pretty boring too. But there is riding at a bike park in Woodhill Forest called the Sandpit which is fun at this time of year.


    Twice the displacement, twice the cost and a decibel problem, I'll pass on the inside brraaaap!!!

    your allowed north of the cut out, kids are still allowed by thye stream,
    but if they catch you being a menace around people your fucked!

    There was a big thing on 20/20 or 60 minutes about it, the cops keep doing blitz's and if you get caught they can fine you with no warrant, no rego and if you don't have a road licence they will do you for that to.

    Hi where abouts on the beach is the 'cut out'? And what is the best access. I want a place to take my son on his 50 quad and for me follow him on my pit bike. Is that place suitable? I'm look for an open flat area where we won't bother anyone. Cheers.

    Heaps of people are still riding out Karotahi (Waiuku) and you quite often see people out there with there kids and bikes. Nice hard sand, just stay away from the main part in front of the carpark.
