You look a big guy, some of those Buells are a bit small, this baby looks so cool![]()
Say.... thats not bad. I haven't seen one in Sawyers though![]()
SC, I have the 'cager' equivalent of what you want, It was made in 1955, Has 400+HP, makes enough rumble to activate every car alarm on the way past, has a 'large ' bonnet scoop, runs 305 X 15" rear tyres and has wheelie-bars yet I rarely have to rev it past 3,500 revs on the street to get 'respect' (will go to 6,000 if revved in anger).
All you need is the motorcycle equal of that, no need for a R1 etc, the look/sound will do it!!![]()
Winding up drongos, foil hat wearers and over sensitive KBers for over 14,000 posts...........![]()

Saw the specs on that thing a while back. Didn't have a great deal of power, (around 94 hp) but it had enough torque to enter it in tractor pull competions. I'd love to take it for a ride, v-twins rock!Originally Posted by gav
Okay, so it looks like the Buell's going...
Even after I asked everyone to leave it on the shop floor until the had to discount it.
How about you keep it for a year or so, look after it real nice like, theen trade it in again so's I can snap it up really cheap....
Seriously though, the Buell's are way cool.
I'd go for a Lightning XB9R. Although the Yellow Lightning XB9S has the race kit on it - hmmmmm yummy exhaust sound.
I've read elsewhere on the 'net (so it's most probably BS) that the race kit stresses the motor and Buell's warranty is invalid if you put the race kit on. You may want to check out if that's the case - its most probably BS though.
Let us know wwhat you reckon.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Invalid. Phhffft.
SC: With no disrespect intended, Deano and I were discussing the thread where you stated that you weren't interested in being the "top dog" and I wondered what the hell anyone would do with an open class litre bike if that was the case?
I think you'll find the Buell will suit you to the ground. If it's good enough for Jimbo to be convinced, and Ching, and Jim2, I'm sure you'll love it.
90% of sports bike riders could ride one faster than their Jappa. End of story.

Good on ya SC. Ride it safe and you will have lots of fun.
Just stay away from the BRV

Gee... someone told me that if the race kit is chucked on then your warranty goes down the shitter. Glad tis not so. But Jimmy is right folks (welll for me anyways). Am gradually getting used to the Buell more and more and it does indeed urge me to lean more and be a bit more aggressive while at the same time really enjoying the ride (along with the shakes and the sounds). What you'd want with most bikes really aye???![]()
