If there's one thing in my life thats missing
It's the time that I spend alone
Sailing on the cool and bright clear water
After having been doing some thinking lately, I've decided that I probably can't, and more importantly don't want to be the fastest or best rider out there. The bike I currently own is built for just about one reason only, to go faster than commen sense. I know I've always said, and I still believe it, that ANY bike can be ridden safely and slowly. But, for the riding I think I will enjoy most, owning the R1 is like owning a F1 car for sunday drives. On the R1 I feel that I will always be trying to keep up with, be as good as or "beat" some of the riders I ride with now. I can't, and I can't afford to.
I have been very suddenly, but firmly bitten by the bug of a certain motorcycle, which I shall be test riding shortly. WHITETRASH, and VTWIN, you are SWORN to secrecy, I'd prefer to let all know when I've made up my mind.
The bike I'm looking at is also a 1000cc sports bike, but is designed in my opinion to be a more leisurely ride, with the capability of becoming a beast at the twist of a wrist, however still not intending to a supersport bike like I have now. The "new" bike also sounds the shiznit, and has the "look at me" factor, when at the lights (quote from WT himself!)![]()
So, depending on how the test ride goes, and how I'm feeling, I may have a mint 04R1 for sale, literally as new.
