    RIP buddy.

I still have no idea what to say. It's just not fair that you were taken from us. You were like a 2nd dad to me. To all of Lani's friends I believe. You were always good for a laugh, for advice, or just to yarn eh. Generally, the term would be good cunt...but I'd say you're the goodest cunt.

To Lani. Words can't explain anything. But I'm here for you ok, for anything. In the short time we have before I leave...you can count on me to be there if you need me to. I don't know what it must feel like, and at times, I probably won't even be able to say anything...but if it's for a hug, for a chat, or just to hang out eh, to get away from it. You're an awesome mate, and it's horrible for you to have to go through this.

To Nana. You're one strong lady. And we're all here for you too. All of Lani's friends, all us HB KBers. You and Gaybin were always welcoming of us into your home, no matter what time it was or for whatever reason. It was cool to just pop round after school some days and have a coffee and a sit down. We always had a really good time together. You're not just Lani's parents, or Nana and Gaybin...you're pretty much our own parents too.

Gaybin, you died doing something you loved, riding your Beemer. I'm sorry for all the shit I gave you 'bout that thing...it really isn't a bad bike though. I keep replaying our day trip to Welly and back in my head, and I still can't come to grips with the fact that we're not going to have anymore trips together. But you'll always be in my mind. You'll always be here with us. Your cheeky grin, your smart-mouthed comments...everything.

I can only say it was a pleasure to have known you, and even more so a pleasure to be able to call you a bloody good friend. Ride on, and don't forget your can of harden the fuck up eh?

Peace hath higher tests of manhood

    than battle ever knew.

One thing only does my memory supply about Scott.

He was inordinately proud of his daughter.

    Later dude...

It's my misfortune that I never met your Dad but I can tell you, as a dad, he would be mighty proud of you for posting this, it can't have been easy.

Your lovely tribute has reduced me to tears. Bless you sweetheart and godspeed Zukin.
    Oh bugger

Scott was the first KiwiBiker I met - He went out of his way make me feel welcome which is great when you don't know anyone on a ride. I am really saddened by this terrible news.

    my condolences to his family

    Mark
