RIP Zukin - condolences to the family. We never met but had spoken via kb like many others.

It has taken two days to sit and write this. I can’t say what I feel. The tears are real.
The ride by your place yesterday said it all. 80 to 90 bikes to give a tribute to you Scott and a message of support to your family.
Thanks for the memories Scott. The rides, the chats, the time spent. I hope we can ride with you one last time.

Very sad news. Scott McIsaac, otherwise known here as Zukin, crashed near the top of Coromandel Peninsula. He died from his injuries while the Westpac rescue helicopter was flying him to hospital. Scott was one of the most enthusiastic adventurers you'd ever come across. We've had a few great rides in the past couple of years. I shall miss him. Heart felt condolences to his wife Carissa and the rest of the McIsaac family.

I didn't know Scott/Zukin, but read about his death in The Harold this morning, and was saddened to do so.
Scott, may you rest in peace. From the posts on here, it seems like you were a terrific guy, and it's sad that many of us will now not get to meet you.
My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
RIP Scott. My sincere condolences to Family and Friends. Very sad sad news.
Yungatart addressed Scott for me, but can you all spare a thought for the guys he was riding with. They saw him safely away in the chopper, only to find out later that he never reached the hospital.
I am sorry that you guys went through that particular kind of heartbreak.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
To Carrisa & Lani, my sincere condolences. I never met Scott in the flesh but we communicated over the net several times and enjoyed his thorough and concise ride reports, complete with GPS tracks. We share a love of the same interests - namely bikes, maps and no-exit roads.
I was looking forward to meeting him next month on Clint's MMMMM ride which he'd been persuaded to attend. Initially he was going to the HB Rally, but changed his mind after a fellow adventurer questioned his priorities ;-)
RIP mate.
