Funeral information added to first post![]()
bugger, pity i never met him anywhere but on here.
RIP dude
Lani I loved the rides I did with your dad but sorry I will be out of the country on Monday 7th July and unfortunately will have to miss his funeral. Hopefully I can get my brother (who sadly is now sick with cancer, lives in Napier but probably won't be able to make it by bike) to attend and represent our family.
RIP Scott, you'll really be missed in the Adventuring community.
My thoughts are with you Carissa and all the wider family group.
My last ride with Scott was the Waitangi Day ride this year over North Range Road where I captured his thumbs up spirit with this photo shot.
Cheers
Merv
Hi Lani - your Dad organised a great ride in the Tararua District - In the following photos, here he is 1. 'kickin back' after a good day riding on the Saturday and 2. at the front in a group photo of the team he led through the Tararua District for a great weekend of camaraderie and fun.
Sincere condolences - Stephen O aka Aslan
Kanny will be in CHCH, but I'll definitely be attending.![]()
Grub and I will be heading up from Wellington. Anyone who wants to join us for the ride we will travel on Sunday and back on Tuesday. PM me.
There is some room at ours for those that need it. We have another family emergency going on at the mo, so will do our best to keep up with events...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
So shocked and sadden by news.My heartfelt condolences to Carrissa,Lani and family.Though i did not know Scott for long. What a privilege to have met him and great guy he was. Will be in CH.CH Monday. But i shell light a candle and be their in spirit.Such a sad loss

I'm so sorry for your loss.
We were having such a great ride, that's the way it is when riding with Scott, I was so excited when he asked what i was doing for a whole week!!!
I'm going to miss his stories of his past exploits and adventures, his incredible personality and his warm company.
He was the benchmark of comradery, he always put his feet in first to make you feel as comfortable as you could in any situation and it was natural to him to look after ya and feel more than welcome.
Instantly you felt like you had known each other for years.
A true leader he was.
I think I will be doing even more rides and getting more involved.
The desire of seeing new things and having adventures is greater than ever.
Knowing that's how he would want it, holding onto memories of him with every new sight and adventure, feeling in a way that he is there too, he should be there..
He will be sorely missed by more than we know, and I cant even imagine how hard it is for his family.
A sad sad tragedy which to me still seems, simply unbelievable.
Rest, ride, in peace Scott..
know you're riding with your family........... heavy heart... Pain's going now....thought's flowing with feeling's...... R.I.P Scott
.xjr...

the really happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery when on a detour.
As above you will note MSTRS and Tart have had to take time out to help a family member that needs them.
So Wasp27 and I are going to organise the bikes and K/B part of Scotts funeral. This includes the time leading up to, During and after the funeral. Also we are happy to arrange accommodation for ppl here if need be. So please PM with answers to the following,
(1) Are you coming to the Funeral? We won’t as many bikes as we can get please. Please PM number of bikes. Ie one bike 2 people/ one bike one person.
(2) Do you need accommodation? With a K/Ber.
(3) What day do you need the accommodation for? If Hotel/ Motel what price range? Probably best you arrange this yourself but we can help organise.
I will add to this list as I need to. We will post info on what is happening at the funeral as we develope the plan.
We hope to speak to the family today or tomorrow and the council etc. Expect the shell of a plan by Friday night.
Rest in Peace Scott.
Thanks Steve. I couldn't risk dropping the ball on something soooo important.
