The director John Huston. Humphrey Bogart actually directed that scene where he's being harrassed for money by the main characters.

Nope. As long as you aren't trying to get finance or insurance(they require the correct license to be covered) or want a test ride(bike shop has insurance and you'd need a license to be covered), they're under no obligation to check your license. lol.
If you have cash up front however, the bike's yours. Who knows, you could be buying it as a present for a family member, or if it's a 250cc or lower you might just be getting it to learn on. *wink wink nudge nudge*

P.S. And yes I had no license and rode a bike in the past. The above answer is from experience with buying from shops.
