Your score is 0.00%. Please review the answers you gave below to find out where you went wrong and then re-try the test.

ok ... it seems that most of it is common sense ... and I must have a little of that since I got 71 outta 76 and the ones i get wrong i know i need to work on. Sit the test ... easy peasy and it is mostly common sense.

    I love the 2nd question.

    Question 2:
From the list, select the most important part to check on your motorcycle before you ride.
    Brakes
    Handlebars
    Footrests
Its not like your going anywhere without handlebars, and riding without footrests is a prick so I'd have to pick one of those two.

And I don't get that you have to check the brakes as the most important!!

Thanks interesting riffer. I also got four questions wrong - three were of the same questions that you got wrong and my answers for each were the same as you gave.

I did the test and got 10 wrong. Ive had my licence for 35 years and that test is irrelevant for long term licence holders because hundreds of thousands of kms experience supercedes tests for learners. You have to remember there is no hard and fast rule for any given situation that crops up suddenly, keep left, keep right, apply front brakes blah blah blah.... You just have to use common sense and judgement based on experience IMHO.

I just did the test and got 5 wrong (same as you, Nasty!), which isn't bad considering! I think the last time I did a written driving test was for my heavy trade licence many many moons ago.
Might do all the tests as a matter of interest

And I disagree with all the answers I got wrong too.

Question 46:When riding in groups, it is best to place beginner riders:

in the centre of the group
at the rear of the group to be the tailender
in the front of the group behind the leader

The correct answer is in the front of the group behind the leader

Question 59:When riding at night. which one of the following is most important?

Wear gloves to keep your hands warm
Turn your motorcycle headlights on to high beam as much as possible
Stay closer to other vehicle at night

The correct answer is Turn your motorcycle headlights on to high beam as much as possible

Question 60:If you must slow in a curve, how should you do this?

Apply the rear brake of your motorcycle only
Let the engine of your motorcycle brake for you
Use both brakes on your motorcycle but only gently

The correct answer is Use both brakes on your motorcycle but only gently

Question 68:If you get a blowout or puncture on your motorcycle you should:

    brake quickly and stop
close the throttle and slow down gradually
brake gently using the brake on the wheel that does not have the puncture

The correct answer is close the throttle and slow down gradually
I got exactly the same ones wrong and I agree with you Riffer. Some of these questions are a matter of opinion, some of which depends on how a rider prefers to ride like breaking through a corner. I don't like how the front brake makes the bike straighten up on corners so I only use the rear brake and I know plenty of riders that feel the same.

    roughly 100% (ish)

However, I have to say that the boneheads who "created" the exam clearly aren't riders themselves because if they were, quite a few of the Qs would have been asked in a slightly different way.

Also, when I took this I knew that it was an exercise in taking a test rather than riding a bike, so I acted accordingly.
