I see they have done the BMW thing and made radiator scoops out of the bodywork too.

That will be a trend like underslung mufflers.

I may hate you. But that is probably a bit strong.

To paraphrase a Tennis player called Gimelstob.

"Hate is a very strong word - I just despise him to the maximum level just below hate."

It is very difficutl to get any work done looking through this green filter.

I was just reading that article! hah.

Love this thing. It'll be sad to see the Triumph gone but I think this'll keep me entertained!

Even during run-in, it's got so much poke and instant acceleration. It's awesome.

Heh, not AMPS! You need to visit Motoworld Powersports in Albany (ask for Troy) or see the Triple X moto guys in East Tamaki.

What's the fuel economy and tank range like?

I'd love a 690SM or similar to ride around town and generally play on, but I suspect that it would be wildly unsuitable for two-up mile-munching.

    Your comments, Mr Devil Sir?

Will have to get back to you about the fuel. Haven't used a whole tank yet but the comments i've heard are they're very good on the gas (20km/l) on the open road. 13.5L tank.
So at least 200km between stops.

Just picked up some of the extras. Tank bag, handguards and screen.

Matt you geezer...long time. Hey I put in a good word for you at Gen-I then I never heard anymore!

Good to see you've joined the Orange community. I upgraded my tard to this orange beast! It's insane! I think the next will be the enduro model of the 690 for me.

    Sweet.
I applied for some of the sys engineer contracts at Gen-i but then never heard anything. *shrug*.

Working at Auckland City Council now! Yikes.

That new 690 enduro looks sweet. Damn light too! Albany KTM gets one in a couple of weeks I think, not sure.
