What kind of parking is this?!

In the motorcycle parking on Fort Lane in Auckland CBD this person has been parking there lately. He/she is taking up the space of 4 bikes! And just beyond this (just after the parking sign pole) is dotted yellow lines, parking on the yellow lines results in a $60 fine.

When I walked past yesterday, I saw that two bikes had parked longways beside him/her too - good luck trying to get out mate!

HAd a scooter do that in the Jim2 Memorial Park. Dragged it into the middle of the road and left it there.

Looks like reasonably sized bike, can you move it to give them the message? There is an ticket that parking wardens can dish out called "Inconsiderate Parking" $60. If you can get hold of a warden then lead them in that direction.

Is that a freakin goldwing. Quite possibly if parked at 90 degrees it will jut out of the parking to much, and angled would be good but that would jut out and take up a lot of space. I think the reasoning is that this way two bikes can park next to it, whilst allowing other bikes to park at 90 degrees. If on an angle it would mess everything up due to it being so big. Only way I can rationalise it.

It started parking parallel in the past week or so, before that it had been angled. Bikes COULD park next to it, I've seen this, but then how would it get out?

I'd write a note asking that they return to their previous style of parking and pointing out that this way is inconsiderate/selfish. Stick it on the bike or cover where they will find it. I'm sure they must know better if they previously parked the other way!

Well their previous way of parking was slightly angled, so it still took up the space of 3 or more bikes.
