    Buying gear off the net?

Been looking for some new gear and have found this site www.motorcyclegear.co.nz. Got a real nice shift jacket on there for way cheaper than the local bike shop.

So im here asking if anyone has ever used the site or knows anyone who has.

    Looks like a nice site.

    Didn't know they exsisted.

    Cheers for sharing.

I have found the internet traders to be very good and have not been dissapointed yet.

Most (all really) gave better service than the local shops around here.

It's alway a nervous time waiting for your goods when you order from a new site, but someone has to be first.

i haven't used the site nor know anyone that has,

yep...crazy cheap compared to local prices

very difficult for local distributors to compete with the relatively small size of our market

Yea I like the deal im just a little weary of buying off a site I dont know. Trade me and Ebay are fine because but this is a random site I've never heard about. Thought I would be on the safe side and see if anyone has used them before. Looks like Im off to go buy a new jacket.

I bought a Shift Airbourne jacket off them late last year. They seemed really good to deal with and I think free shipping for purchases over $150.

I buy almost all my parts and accesories from: http://www.shopbombaymotorsports.com/

It's in Lost Angeles USA and I generally save at least 30-50%, including shipping than any store here. Just bought a pinlock visor and clear insert for my Shoei helmet. It was $84 US, including shipping. That's about $105 NZ. The visor alone here is $90. Usually takes about 3-5 days to ship over.
Pranav, the owner has been a friend for many years and always has the best prices I have ever found. He'll often throw in free goods, e.g., I needed a few screws for the fairing on my Bandit and he threw 3 of them in at no charge.
If he doesn't have it, he can usually get whatever you need. Highly recommended!

I've noticed a lot of cheap bike gear on Trademe, should I be weary of these? I'm not an expert but how can you tell if it's just a cheap chinese knock off or something? Like this for example http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-159153681.htm
