I was considering the DRZ but i think the yamaha 660 would give me a bit more grunt as it would be a commuter and a weekend play/ sideways toy.

Depends if a drz can cruise happily at 110 i guess,

DRZ's easily sit at 110-120...perhaps not as torquey or set up for road use, but certainly a lively little engine with a few mods.
