    74 sportster parts?

Anyone know of a source for "new old stock" or good second hand parts for a XLCH I'm endevouring to revive? Mainly cosmetic parts, but also head bearings and probably some gearbox parts.

A Harley Davidson dealer would be my first port ofcall mate. You'd be surprised what you can still get new for those old nails.

last year completed a ground up rebuild of an 77 XLCR

Harley Dealers were my last port of call in getting parts - they generally are not interested in anything over about 5 years old

Original cycle parts are best sourced thru:

    Flea Bay
    Swapmeets

for mechanical electrical general service items:

Use a website in the states for parts www.usatwins.com reliable quick delivery

Motorcycle Storehouse in Holland have an excellent catalogue with loads of parts - if you can find an independant shop whom deals with them.

All my parts come from the states and only takes 4 days for delivery, much cheaper than dealing with harley shops here.

Foghollow is the cheapest by far and have had the the parts i needed
www.foghollow.com or www.archwayintl.com for second hand parts.

I have had parts from J&P Cycles as well, look under parts for your harley.
    www.jpcycles.com

And also got parts from Lake shore harley. You need to know part number for this one,
    www.lshd1.com/servlet/StoreFront

I have a parts catalog 1954-1978 if need oem part numbers.
