The largest thing I have transported on a bike is actually me! If you added up my wife and a weeks worth of stuff (incl make up bag) I would be quite a bit bigger and heavier. Sad but true.
Well..........she looked allright when i picked her up...........but the next morning it was a different story....i had to get my suspension redone after that!
When I was in the cooks I brought 2 iron boards, a bucket and 2 bags of stuff on a scooter lol,
the bags were on the mirrors, the bucket as well and I had an iron board under each arm. You didnt wear helmets then (last year).
It was a fun ride. Tommorow I am going to try and work out how to carry my fishing gear on my bike.
If you are behind me
Dont ask as I am lost too.
in about 1991 i took one of those old metal push mowers from Christchurch to Twizel on the pillion seat of the R80G/S. Took the long handle off and taped it to the side of the bike. A few strange looks on the way but plenty of thumbs up too.
To anyone that ever told you you’re no good… They’re no better.
A six-pack of bottles inside my jacket.
Apart from my thing, you mean?
Um... probably three (3) boys (offspring, if you must know - I'm not that way inclined) at once.
But one of the most awkward was a backpack with two heavy fire extinguishers in, one of which was large, full, and kept leaping around, trying to escape or kill me or summat.
Prolly not as heavy as the vifferbabe plus two Ventura packs stuffed to the brim plus a tankbag, when we toured OopNorf a coupla years ago, but much, much less well behaved.
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
Pizza anyone?
No, I don't work there...
If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.
