I spent the last atnr watching this guy harass a rider by sitting less than 5 meteres behind said rider with his spotlights on in his car. The rider ran well wide on a corner. It is only a matter of time untill someone gets injured.

Take it to his superiors, request action be taken, and if it's not to YOUR satisfaction, take it on to the Police Complaints Authority. That's one source of power we have.

The other is to invite the media into examine it and take the issue totally public. That's an uphill battle of course - who's to say they will even consider the story - but then if you don't try you won't know right? It IS election year... and that's in your favour for a hard hitting outcome (Police Ministers don;t like naughty peopel going unpunished on their watch...)

What else are you thinking of doing? Burning a cross on his lawn, shooting his cat (emotive and extreme examples I know... but I used them as crazy examples - I'm not suggesting you would do them)

The process is there and must be adhered to or anything done by anyone will simply come back to bite you and all of us in the butt.

Why not use the KB community. Apparently this copper is well known.

IF everyone who has bad instances with this guy (like the tail gaiting) got off their ass and lodged complaints (perhaps we could start a sticky thread for compaints actually lodged against this copper) it will get to the point when even the traffic powers that be will see "whoa baby - there is a problem here".

Heck - after 12 months we could use the information act to see how many formal compaints made by bikers were made against officer XXX - and that will make good reading in the Herald esp if the bastard is still on the road.

Be smarter and organise "countermeasures" in the privacy of the "ATNR Regulars" social group area. At least it will be private and the cunt will be guessing what is being planned... unless someone allows him access.

Stick to the facts. Avoid emotional outbursts. Report your incident promptly and before you post it here. Ideally there'd be a couple of independent witnesses to the same incident but their independence is shot if it can be shown that the might have discussed it in an online forum such as this - private or not. Finally, if your house is made of glass you might expect a few stones hurled back your way.

It wasn't the ginger c00nt that nearly ran me over last year, it was one of his subordinates. Needless to say that he was following *that* close that had his car had the same fate as the front wheel of my bike across the loose gravel I probably would have needed the ambulance. Didn't help that he almost ran westie off the road so he could get behind me to pull me over.

I'll be seriously considering putting a complaint in - found the ticket the other day so I know his name/service number etc, just going to talk to some friends in the force over what is legal for them and what is not in such circumstances and will address it accordingly. Doesn't help that I paid the ticket already though.

A lot more people on here would do well to get their facts straight before shooting their mouths off, so how about give him a chance before bitching about him bitching (which he isn't)

Was talking to a couple of long time locals yesterday (I was working north of Kaukop) and they showed me a place where 'a cop' (hair colour unknowen) sit and points the magic stick. You cant see him but he has a view of about a kilometer back down SH16. Most who ride this road will know where im talking about if I post the location.

The problem is that even if 100 people posted about issues in this thread its all for nothing - it is simple bitching. And westie cannot do anything with it - its not like he can take forum postings to the police co plains authority on behalf of a ton of anonamous KB members.

As I said in my earlier post people need to actually lodge formal complaints about the guy. Then if there is a colates thread of actually useful and qualifiable facts - then westie will have setting useful to use.
