Are you sure you havent confused KW with HP (106kw = 140hp) which sounds more like it?
I just grabbed the stats off Motorcycle USA:
    http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/Articl...ID=6413&Page=7
    (this is a great shootout review for those interested. 2008 CBR600RR, GSXR600, ZX6R, R6 and Daytona 675)

    Engine: 599cc Inline Four
    Bore x Stroke: 67mm x 42.5mm
    Horsepower: 106.3 hp @ 13,100 rpm
    Torque: 44.9 lb-ft @ 11,300 rpm
    Weight: 397.5 lbs w/fuel, 368.7 lbs w/o fuel
    Power to Weight Ratio: 0.27
    Wheelbase: 53.9 in. Rake: 23.55° Trail: 97.7mm
    Seat Height: 32.3 in.
Exhaust dB at 5000 rpm: 88
    Measured MPG: 35.5
    MSRP: $9599

    From Honda NZ:
Max Power Output 81.1kW /13,500 rpm
    http://www.honda-motorcycles.co.nz/b...elID=188&type=

I've noticed however, most of the review sites have different numbers. But hey, I'm not worried. I rode one and fell in love regardless

And as for the comparison to the older blade, that was just a word of mouth "I think" statement from a guy at Botany Honda. Speaking of which, both myself and my mate initially intended to buy from them as they're local, but compared to Cyclespot I'm surprised anyone would buy from them. My mate tried 4 times to get his one from them, but each time they never called him back to say "Yep we got one for ya" and as for me... well lets just say I saved myself $2k by getting it from cyclespot

Haha I can tell your right now... don't twist the wrist as much coming out of the corners Hyo's encourage poor throttle control at times

Oh yea for sure! She's plenty quick enough for me! And i've never really been one for numbers

One thing I did notice on the MUSA review however was that they were all around the 100-110 HP mark (I think the Gixxer might of been 98). So perhaps it's just their dyno's....

Haha think the 600 will be more than enough for me! (or is that what they all say? )

Yes, I'm getting a Red one... aside from being faster it was the best option really. At first I was going for a white one, but after much thought I decided It was the prefect color had I been buying one for the GF Not because of the white, but more the Tricolor was too much. I've always been more a fan of the simple single or 2 color designs.

However, if these were available in NZ then I most likely wouldn't have gone with the Red:
