Why did he need a 'fast getaway' for? The farmer and the shotgun?
Little Fauss and Big Halsey clip!
Reminded me of Culverdun before irrigation......same mating ritual.

The best it's ever been done. Still didn't save 'em though.

The game has changed now.
The challenge is to make it sexy without being sexist
I think both those Honda still look good.
As for ads, there is evidence to suggest that ads get more imaginative and beguiling in inverse proportion to the products they depict. BSA was a good example of that.

Oh my god I had one!
I bought one of these off a mate when I was about 11 for $50.00
Now mine was a bit special! Modified for the farm.
We fitted a Chen Seng (or something that sounded like that) knobbly on the back. ( I remember that cost me $10!). Had to flare the rear guard with a hammer to fit it and stuck a wide motorcross handle bars on the front. Left the front road tyre on as couldn't afford another knobbly at this ridiculous price.
Wished I had read the add when I had mine (Never knew the rear shocks were adjustable!)
We had a jump on the farm and when we road over this at about 30mph the bike would bounce back up in the air on landing (No damping in front suspension) and then spear off sideways throwing the laughing captain and all pillion passengers (often more than one) off in the process.
Honda was so successful in USA in the 60's obviously everyone was crying out for them. The 65 of course was sporty compared to the stepthrough.
The CB down on the beach looks cool too, and dig that swimsuit.
Great pics Dave.
Cheers

Oh the memories, my first road bike was a 1974 CB 100 in resplendent red and white, quite similar to that.

we used to race two steppies around our flat, including navigating the back steps and the side gate lol
one was a 90 tho so it had a bit of an unfair advantage off the mark
