Im starting to get sick of seeing these peices of junk palmed off onto the unsuspecting, and unknowing.
For a motorcycle or any vechicle in fact to be warrented and regerstered for NZ roads, and that has not been previously regerstered in NZ, it requires certain paper work to be presented with the vechicle, before the LTSA will even consider Vinning and regerstering the vechicle, if the vechicle is built out side of Japan, Europe , UK, Austrailia or North America, the vechile will fall into a special catorgory, and require that it has paper work to prove that it has been constructed to certain International standards, it will also require certain letters from the manufacturer stating the materials list and construction techniques for the vechicle, these letters need to be sighned off during the construction of the vechicle, I am uncertain that the paper work can be done retrospectivly. in other words if you do not have the correct paper work for your Chinese motor bike the LTSA will not VIN it you will not get a REG or WOF, and as this guy doesnt let you know his trading address and wont let you visit his trading address then I doubt you will ever get a refund.
I dont know if there is an international set of standards that Off Road motorcycles are constructed to, if not then maybe there should be. Possibly one of you guys who work in the motorcycle industry could answer that for me.
these bikes look dangerious for the unknoledgeable and the unsuspecting, as this will cost the motorcycle industry in the long run and also those of us who are the consumers of that industry, through higher acc levies, and if the Government decides to clean up the acts of the Fly by Night motorcycle importers then that cost will eventualy filter to the consumers and tax payers, this may not seem a big deal now but could be a big deal latter on.

No way man, I'd happily pay $500 for it. Be a good toy, and when the bike falls apart I'd use the motor for a go cart.

Think of it as a toy, rather than a motorcycle and it's value doubles instantly.

Bwahahaha - funniest thing I've seen in a long long time. Had me laughing for quite a while - those pictures are awesome.

Sell it to the unsuspecting you say? Hell yes, Darwin needs all the help he can get these days and if you choose to ride that thing there on the open road you have got it coming - whether it's registerable or not.

This is the funnniest thread I've read for a long time, the questions and answers were pretty good too

I'd pay $20 for one, I figure $1 a minute aint to bad for some entertainment, and the pleasure of riding a "shineytime 250"

I think you'd only buy one of those bikes if you had been having an excessive 'shineytime' session at home polishing the purple helmet.....
Which could well be the preferred pastime of the seller as well...

I agree with pedrostt, I too am sick of people pawning off crap like this to the unknowledgable, theres worse thing going on but you'd like to think this could be one of the easier things to halt. There's a few T.M sellers living of the fringe of consumer law, have seen one with over 150 -ve feedback, would be nice if T.M took to some of the bad ones instead just banking the fees.

In all my recent rides at the sandpit I've seen a least one of these "class" of bikes broken down with the owner kicking away. Darwin theories aside, its usually a young kid getting a raw taste for the world and how awesome dirt riding can be.
