    A soulmate for John Britten

As the weather was so crap yesterday, I was surfing the web looking at exotic mountain bikes and found one designed by an English guy called Allen Millyard. Nice bit of kit, but but what else I found on the website blew me away. Just had to share it in case I'm not the only person in the universe who didn't know about it!

This guy has built a V12 Kawasaki 2600 cc based on the old Z1300 and what a piece of engineering! Scroll down this page and there is a video of his bike running: http://www.pinkbike.com/news/allen-m...rt-1-2008.html. The noise, the noise The photo comes from another site I found.

Oh yes - he's built a 5 cylinder Kawasaki too, based on their legendary triple 2 strokes!

That's not the end of it though, he's also built a V8 based on a Z1! Have found a photo of that too. The beauty of his engineering is that it's wonderfully executed unlike a lot of other large-engined bikes which are really only fit for straight roads and to be honest, look pretty crude.

The world would be a poorer place without the likes of Messrs Millyard and Britten.

You can also find a few articles in the odd "Two Wheels" as well. Know I've definitely got one on the V12 somewhere.

Britten wasn't an engineer. He bought engineers together and provided the energy and enthusiasm.

"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.
