    Carring extra helmet

How do others carry an extra helmet for distances more than 10 min's or so? For short I have it on my left arm, but this effects turns to the left, so I'm not happy about long distances.

Normally I attach it to a bag and take that, but is there a way that I haven't seen/be tolld about.
Speed limits are just a suggestion, like pants.

Ummm, not only does it affect left hand turns, but it'll affect your use of your left arm if you come off, ie major injuries from wearing a helmet over your arm. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but hey thats just a suggestion, like pants!! Otherwise, I never carry a spare helmet on me, nowhere to put it. (no helmet lock on my bike)

The FXR had two locks on the back, damn awesome for trips as they were actually secure.

    I miss that.

I dont carry one at all. Actually the only reason that I have rear footpegs is for the WOF...

Carry a helmet attached to your helmet lock and you`re putting major strain on the strap that it`s not designed to take. These things are designed to be a place to leave your helmet while your bike`s stationary, and even then they`re not the world`s greatest idea.I`ve seen all kinds of damage done to helmets from doing this on the move, from them flapping around and banging against the frame or whatever to developing frayed straps.More likely you`re putting far too much load on the strap and just like if you drop your helmet on the floor often potentially dangerous faults will have developed while everything will look fine.Far better is either use a top-box, or one of those cargo net things up on the back of the seat.

You can try one of those helmet net bungy thingys, square shape, has about 6 hooks and sit the helmet on the rear seat. Wouldnt leave it ther though, may get stolen.

Givi top box here too. Plus my bike has two helmet hooks. Don't put it on your arm mate. It's an accident waiting to happen.

Have a bag big enough to carry the helmet as well as your other gear. Bungy the lot to the back seat. Job's a good 'un.

One could fit Givi boxes or shock horror a packrack to give somewhere else to attach bungies.
