Yeah ... like the arrows on the v1 - very handy. Had a quick trip down to hammy today... went zipping past a cop lurking on one of the on ramps just past meremere... (out of sight until its too late) got lit up by his wee laser gun ... no time to react and the rear mirror lit up all in red and blue.

Luckily he picked up the tailgating prick in the merc behind me who probably looked more likely to be able to afford the ticket.
Lesson ... doesnt matter what RD you have if the sneaky pricks dont want to play fair!!!

All that is involved is removing certain bands, perhaps making other bands stronger or something, read up on it a while ago... its just setting the correct bands for what is used for the local market.

Just pop on to the v1 website they have all the instructions that you need,

don't listen to mr Radar direct who has been out to bag other importers of V1s and other brands for ages, I have even got in contact with the V1 office in the US and had a chat to them about the supposed upgrades promoted by a local supplier here and they were very quick to point out that he was full of it,

V1 Bel and escorts are all good RD's you just have to take your time to learn how to ride with them, and you will most likely find that they make you drive a little bit slower once you realise how many close calls you actually have.

As I know how many more are out there (compared to the average punter) I tend to ride more cautiously than I would had I never had this job.

    Couldn't agree more.

Having an RD isn't a license to speed like a twat and anyone with 1/2 a brain is going to ride to the conditions...
But I do object to the enjoyment tax imposed when you get pinged for doing 111kms on an empty road.
