Shit you'll be luck to get anyone to do it . 15y >$10,000 plus . I wouldn't even do it. If you do it will be pretty dear . I go through "Protector Insurance"
$638 for 1year for my 3 GSXR1000 That is the cheapest in NZ Nobody else can match it that I have try & have tryed them all

good luck!..... but a 15y/o on a bike that price, I'd hate to see the premiums...
I doubt AMI, State etc would touch it... you'd be better asking Kiwibike... protecta *might* do it..... or see an Insurance broker

Read the fine print on Protecta - you may find that you have an excess of 25% of the vehicles involved in the accident. Not good if you smack into a $50k Bayliss replica 998.

I would be as surprised as Sensei to find any Insurance company that woulkd cover a 15 year old. The only one I can think of would, would be State or maybe AMI.

I have mine through John Baker Insurance but my bike is only 5 years young and because I am an old bugger I get a discount through Ulysses.

I'll be interested, purely out of morbid curiosity, to know whether you manage to get insurance, and what it costs.

Is it a road bike? Can't think of any 250cc road bike other than an RS250 that'd cost that much. And if you're letting your 15 year old onto an RS250 as his first bike, well, let's just say you're obviously not the world's most over-protective mother.

*Must* be a new dirtbike. Right?

Can you insure them for off-road use, then?

You're Australian. What did you expect? A free ride in NZ?

    ... AND you're really old.

So unfortunately we must guess that the insurance costs for your 750cc motorcycle of similar value aren't very relevant to this lady's query.

$860 per annum's a bit pricey for a Z750, though, innit? Did you get a quote from Protecta?
