    Pannier bag kits

Who has aftermarket panniers on their bikes? The BMW panniers are great and take a lot - a lot of the newer bikes (such as the K1200RS) have cutouts for the exhaust and swoopy curves that cut into the space.

looking at replacing the Beemer with something made this century, and most bikes with panniers want to be Gold Wings when they grow up. Some systems, like the Bandit 1250 look like an afterthought made from Mechano.
Anyone got a Givi or similar system on their bike? Happy with it? The wingrack system is pretty ugly without the bags, but the aftermarket options are limited.
What does a full setup cost?

Have had a set of Givis on my CB750 since 1989 or there abouts. They do the job just nicely. Cost $1300 back then and are not much more now. Good thing about them is that I can fit them to any future bike I purchase. You can colour match the wing rack to the bike if need be. Wing racks aren't the only option either. Givi make specific racks/mount kits for certain models too.

If you're that worried about looks it could be worth considering another bemmer or somthing like a Concours, ST Honda, FJR, maybe even an Eletroglide.

I had a full Givi setup on my K6 Bandit - E41 panniers & V46 topbox. Great gear - have the V46 on my Connie now. Brackets etc a bit ugly when bags off but then you get that with whatever after market system that you just bolt on. My full setup cost about $1400 - about 2 & a bit years ago now.
