    Dumb arse question number 207

If I need a new rear tire do I take the bike to Bro repairs or a bike shop? Don't blame me for the stupid question I've driven a car for 40 years.

If your confident enough to adjust your chain. And cheap, Jack the bike up or put it on a stand and take which ever wheel to a shop with a tyre machine.
    Its Like 10$ cheaper depending.

Welcome to KB! We all have dumb arse questions to ask mate, you'll fit in well here

I'd visit a bike shop rather than Beaurepairs, Firestone etc. Bike shops should have a better range, offer a better price structure and know bikes a bit better than your average tyre jockey ... and you get to look at other bikes whilst there (always the best bit) .

I wouldnt go to ANY tyre dealer for my bike... There is a lot more to doing a bike tyre than there is to a car. Go to your local trusted bike shop - no question.

I just got myself a paddock stand and took the rear wheel off, then took the wheel and the new tire in to the local bike shop for them to fit.
Only cost $15 which I thought wasnt too bad.
