as it happens I borrowed a daytona 955i with rossos on it today. took it out for a bit of a 100k blast. on way out it was dry and the bike handled beautifully. it then pissed down with rain and the bike still felt good. really stable and confidence inspiring.

    interesting.

I am a HUGE fan of the pilot road 2s. Have done 10s of 1000s of ks on them. The rossos felt about the same in the dry but a little better in the wet. Keeping in mind that I wasnt riding my own bike though. Set a fairly steady pace of 140 slowing to 110-120 round the 65s. didnt take a road with anything tighter than that but yeah. felt solid.

Cant find the piece of paper I wrote it on but it was under 6hundy,around 580 I think...but he also mentioned that with the price of lead being the way that it is that it may be more depending on how much my rims need....

I have been very happy with my Pilot road 2's...over 11000 ks on them now, rears looking tired but still legal, fronts lloking as good as new still.
Pretty sure I wont get anywhere near that with the Rosso's,but Im looking at something stickier for the track, but that I wont need warmers for....

another option you might want to consider are the racetecs then. I have had 2 on the front of the 9 and they are very good for going quick.

Well, Ive put them on the R6 & have done one trackday on them so far.I havnt used them on the road yet as Ive turned it into a track bike.
Verdict? Well Im real happy with them, though I think they may only last half the distance of the PR2's,but in saying that these'll get ridden alot harder
as Im only track riding now. I chose the Rosso's mainly because Im poor & cant afford tyre warmers yet, thinking that they'll warm up quicker than say Super corsa's.
At the last trackday I was 9 secs faster than when I was out last on the PR2's...(1:50:4) & I found them real stable under hard breaking & the transition into the corners & powering outta them confidence inspiring. Tried to get them to slide under power & couldnt.....Also found they had more feed back when close to the limit,as in the front let me know that it was starting to slide before it slid out....when I had the Pr2's on it'd suddenly slip then grip.
So yup im happy with them, as I was with the PR2's, but I feel a tad more confident with the Rosso's as Ive had one or two moments heading into a corner thinkin' whoa-, way to fast, & just tipped it in & it went round like on rails. I'll give 'em a rating on grip, longevity...well we'll have to wait a while longer.
Got a race on this weekend so I'll update soon....
