    No, he was the guy who 'invented' it. Linux is the operating system designed for humans. I know you're from Glasgow, but they'll stretch a point.

    Finally. Used the "System Restore" function (much more civilised than the old fashioned "Format C" solution! )

    Everything works beautifully now.

    Phew.

    are you using a usb2.0 printer on a usb 1.1 port?
