    They've Swept it!!!

    I cant believe it!
They have actually swept Piekok Hill!!
Still got a bit of gravel and dust, but nowhere near as bad as it was!
Should be good for riding on for the weekend at this rate!

    Cats eyes are still there.
I dont think we can do too much about them.
Or just dont cut the corners.
    Easier said than done though.

Couldn't see no cats eye's when we went through on Saturday last in the car at Paekakariki . Drove through about 3ft of water thought car was going to stop ,had a bowwave over the bonnet stopped at Pram to pull all the branches etc out of the Radiator . They closed the road after we went through , 8hr wait from then till it reopened .

Sounds like it would have been great for a ride tonight.

Did they fix Frosty's railing yet?

Oh, and BTW congrats on the third X there Blakamin.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I hope they've done something about that diesel spill that was all the way up the road line from Battle Hill to the summit the other night. It was a bit unnerving seeing it there exactly where you wanted the bike to be on every corner...

the fence was fixed by monday!!! they hadnt swept the road but they fixed the fence... so you had something to stop you when you slid on the gravel....
