Don't forget to put your hand out for som Kiwi Rider sponsorship to help pay for the software and running of the site. They charge like wounded bulls for their rag which is 80% advertising.

I'm still undecided, even after reading all of the posts in this thread.

I too have seen what happens when an internet forum grows beyond it's critical capacity, although Visordown is still operating after 4+ years, I probably only post up a couple of times a day now. And there's a culture of "Newbies" v's "Oldtimers" and exclusive Cliques forming, which is probably off putting.

Then there's the bandwidth problem - more members equals more posts equals more bandwidth required as well as more database space which equals more cost for Spankme. But if he's happy for an article about KB in the bike mag, then I presume he's thought about the consequences and costs & is happy to take it on.

But Hoon's got a good point too. I'd especially love to see more South Islanders joining so they can experience the parties & BBQs that have been happening regularly in the North Island for over a year now (thanks Mitch ).

So I'm going to go with the flow too. I just hope that current members remember that tolerance is going to be the key word if we do get a whole shitload of new members.

Visordown`s very cliquey, when I used it briefly it was full of idiots who thought "invading" other people`s boards and filling them with crap was funny, probably is if you`re a twat with no life.Anyone wanting to see how sad a BB can get should have a look at Visordown, the majority of posts here are coherant and at least mostly with a stab at relevence,on there it`s witless babble,in-jokes and girly spats.I honestly think this is the best "General" bike BB,people take the time to post properly if they`ve got something to say and in general there`s less "handbags" than I`ve seen elsewhere. The only other one I use now is Realclassic which is mainly old farts like me too knackered to cause any aggro.

Now D_Dave it might be worth telling us how you fit in the picture with Kiwi Rider. Am I right to assume you are "Big Dave" that has ridden with Vege on the Capital Coast Adventure ride as an example?

Why don't you get KR to do a spiel about themselves - how their team fits together etc and what the benefits would be to bikers by subscribing to their mag etc etc. Someone else has already said it should be KR that promotes themselves here. We don't need to promote KB.

We wear KB T-shirts not KR T-shirts though I do have the KR stickers. Why do you think that is?
    Cheers

    Merv
