    Surprisingly honest

Yesterday some guy comes into my work place and advises me that he's knocked a bike over.

I'm immediately straight faced and thinking 'foul words'. Checked the bike, he's knocked it over on the RHS, then looks like he's picked it up and dropped it on the LHS. Total damage at a look is about 2-3k (Spectrum Motorcycles are checking it over today).

The thing that gets me ... This guy didn't pull a runner? + he contacted state insurance and arranged the claim. All I had to do was make a 2 calls and drop the bike off to Spectrum for an assessment.

Anyone else encountered honesty such as this?
I wave to every biker I see.

Well...not quite the same situation, but a few weeks back I accidently charged a customer $1.04 instead of $104.00......(eftpos transcation). She was back in a couple of days with her statement to tell me I had undercharged her.....she got lotsa green from me....

Shitty situation on both counts. I saw my bike dropped at a workshop, the only thing saved me from losing my nut was the guys honesty and apparent willingness to take the blame.

    On ya.

Man your lucky.. My bikes been knocked over 3 times in the last 4 years.. Every time the fuckers have done a runner.. Last time I tracked down the scum that ran into it leaving it lying on the road, 88yr old woman, glasses like Mr Magoos, deaf, you name it.. Just couldnt be bothered after that - all the damage was easily fixable with a little time and effort..
