    My super trick bike.

Im in the process of building a CRF supermotard.

i got a pair of Excel rims(black) with Talon hubs(gold), Renthal Fat bars, Acerbis supermotard front fender, braking wavy disc`s front 320mm and rear, Trail Tech computer, Renthal Grips, Renthal Clamps, RK and DID gold chains, heaps of other shit too.

But does anyone know what gearing i should be running on the road?
Im also looking for Ohlins rear shock, Does anyone know a price range in NZ?
Any other parts i can get for this weapon?

im sorta new to off road bikes

    Thank you.

It depends, are you racing or road riding it?

CRF's are not bad but because of the wicked compression ratio they run, if you over gear them they'll detonate and pink like a bitch.

I had my ex Coppins RM geared for 180kph and that was the limit. I basically bought a blank rear sprocket with a diameter slightly larger than the carrier bolts. Then had it drilled to fit.

Front sprocket I went up 2 teeth.

Thing would be reving it's head off at the start/finnish line in top gear at Manfeild still.

.. and retail for an Ohlins shock in NZ is typically $1,400 - $1,500.

Try the forum here for some advice Andy, these guys do a great little magazine, not sure if you can get it in N.Z. or not.SM`s have been big over here for a couple of years and before that in mainland Europe.

    http://www.supermoto.co.uk/sitemap.html

Yamaha sell their 400 enduro in SM form here and also a 50c.c.(weedy i know but actually looks pretty neat). Then there`s the new 660 they`ve recently bought out in both trail and SM forms,do you guys get that one?

Try http://www.supermotard.co.uk and do a search for CRF gearing.
Irie has one and so do some others.

It looks like Irie runs 15/43 which would probably gear it to just over 160kph.

    They do look good motarded.

So Andy, hows the motarding coming along? Is the CRF all done now? Got any Pics for us?

And how many pairs of road boots have you chewed through? (I'm sure you'd be a foot sticker-outer right?)
