You are right it was WETyesterday. Got to bottom of Ngaranga Gorge on way home and there was this weird shower within the showers - it was like someone was throwing water bombs at me...not just rain it was like BIG ARSE RAIN!!! Got more wet in that 500m than I did the whole trip home.

Not me, I rode today. And I don't have wet weather gear... yet.

Spent 2 hours in pair of overalls until my pants were dry enough to put back on!!!

I thought that I wouldn't see the regular bikers on Johns Road (SH1) this morning, but sure enough we were all present and accounted for! Guess they just breed us tough down here.
Missus: What the f*&k is that???!!!! Where the f*&k do you think that's going??
Me: It's a [insert old broken vehicle here] can't you tell?
Missus: Oh for f*&k's sake... [slams door]
Me: Phew, lucky she didn't see what's on the trailer!

Come on guys. If you don't ride in the wind or the rain, you won't be riding much in Wellytown. Good waterproof gear helps as well.

I'm not made of sugar - I'm all crap.

But... I rode today. My wife (aka the vifferbabe) tried to put me off by reading out some alarmist stuff in the paper about how HUGE storms were expected, the sky is falling, we're all gonna die, but I went anyway.
Two days driving the car was enough (no, I wasn't being a pooosssie - I had stuff to do).

    Yay for me.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Loved riding this morning in Christchurch. Pretty wet and a good gusty wind and a bit of floodwater but I really enjoyed it for some reason. Just felt really alive. I'm looking forward to the ride home too although the wind has just died and the rain eased off.

But yeah, im OK just an ear and sinus infection. Luckily I always feel unbalanced so I was used to the weird dizzy feeling while riding...
