    <gotta go, wifey's just walked in>

    Actually, the only person who's said "nooooice bike" is a 50y.o workmate, who looks like Jack Duckworth off Coro St.

    So you wheel around the 900FE with the engine switched off. Seriously - the sound of an aircooled desmodue is an attention grabber all by itself.

    Heh - well I get a fair bit, and just occasionally a stupid amount. Doesn't hurt that the bike's painted in harlequin .

    And while bikers aren't overly interested in my bike, they can't help asking after a while. There are NO badges on it, so most don't know what it is (or even what brand it is), and then I open the boot to put my helmet in... love those 'WTF?!' looks .

    Most insane moment was a couple of months ago when I pulled up at a set of lights... then next to me pulls up a bus with 'Timaru Girls High School' written on the side and a couple of netball teams inside. TBH that's about the only time I've seen so many girls hanging out a bus . Twas a bit awkward though...

    Frequently when I park my bike and come back to it there's some guy looking at it and saying 'I had one of these' or 'I had a kettle' or H2 etc.

    Once I broke down at traffic lights and this chap on a bicycle appears out of nowhere - "cool bike man", prods around a little, suggested all the things that I'd already done to try and start it, I bump-started it and then he disappeared with a thumbs up lol

    Mine gets quite a bit of attention, both from bikers and from non-bikers. I think the scooters with bigger engines are still a bit of a novelty to many people, most are familiar with 50cc & 125cc scooters but haven't seen a 400cc scooter before.

    Actually, when I've been parked one or two people have said how shiny and new the bike looks. But no-one has said anything nice about me.

    Got a 2 year-old Black Bonneville that always (and I mean always) gets someone looking at it while parked, but as the comments are generally of the type "she's in good nick, how old is it?" I'm not sure it's a compliment

    so many people comment on my lil rgv at the bar, It sits outside the smokers area... So when i arrive and take any smoke breaks people always seem to have to say something..as incoherant as it might be...gotta love the "heyy...you ride a bike?!... wow....hott" comments....
    Riding down the street people have a nice lil look too.....the cloud of smoke and 2 stroke rattle may be a large contributing factor....
    and at lights....well...boy racers get the iridium stare of death.....

    Well if you ride in a squid suit you get heaps more attention. Felt rather conspicuous but then I was soo much better protected than in my corduras so I just sucked it up.

    BUT everytime I stopped in the last two days there was always at least one person wanting to chatter to me and being a good motorcyclist I was friendly and chatty back
