What do you reckon it was on the Beaufort scale?
Force 8 ("Twigs broken from trees. Cars veer on road.")? Or force 9 ("Larger branches break off trees, construction/temporary signs and barricades blown over, damage to circus tents and canopies.") Maybe even 10 ("Trees broken off or uprooted, saplings bent and/or deformed, poorly attached asphalt shingles and shingles in poor condition peel off roofs.")

Of course in Wellington you have to allow for the fact that the circus tents and canopies all blew away years ago. Not that it's windy here

Newsflash. Rugby is a minority sport. For homos.

The weather isn't THAT bad, certainly nowhere near as bad as it was in the early 90s.

If you can't cope with it, learn some skills and FFS stop whining about it.

A bad day (or 15 minutes) on a bike is infinitely better than a good day at the office. I'd rather lie under a bike in a ditch full of icy water than have to sit through yet another meeting.

You know I really miss meetings - NOT! Now stop your bloody whining and take it like the office bitch.

Today (a day of dealing with unrooting trees) I had to deal with 2 trees in aro valley which wanted to join the 4 that we had to crane out yesterday down a bank.
Then I had to climb and take the canopy out of a big pohut that had started to uproot a few storys above a nice tiled roof on the ridgeline above seatoun. REALLY windy, was hoping tree wouldnt give way with me in it, but we rigged it all down in record time, didnt break a single tile.
You know its bad when other tree companies call you in to do these jobs as they cant get any of there own guys to climb certain trees.

Saved the guy from having his house fucked, he will only annoy me if he thinks my bill is to high after I risked my life to do it when nobody else would.

. (PS if you have ugly trees exposed to wind on crumbling banks above your home, get them dealt to BEFORE they start to fall on your house)
Windy? Yeah, probably going to be doing lots of dumb work when the shit hits the fan this weekend.Ugly gut wrenching work, but I wouldnt swap my job for anything. LETS GO FOR A RIDE!

Funny, I was just starting to think he had actually made his peace with it. To a certain extent.
