    Actually, it's a recess for the notebook where you write down rego numbers of misbehaving cagers. You will have noted that most bikes have a hole through the nut on the steering head...that's where you keep your pen.
    Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Is it so when you are working on the bike and you have to lift the tank it dosnt hit the stearing head?? Mine swings that way.
