It's funny, all of the previous scratches and scrapes have all be done by previous owners or first gear falls or blah blah....
Come on all, admit that you rode it like you stole it and it was dropped at least three times on the Fishers track or Whanga Rd...Or the Molesworth...
Prospective owners want to know you have ridden it and tried it out for the role is was manufactured for...

    Nice Bike Dave.....sell that puppy!

Well mine definitely aint no mint commuter bike that's just been w@nked on in the shed every weekend that's for sure LOL! Its an adv bike and that's what its been used for and I'm glad I did as its been a really fun bike and has the character scratches to prove it, which is why its $7k and not $8k LOL!
The plastics have a fair few scratches, although the tank is in bloody mint condition - can't believe I have never dented it or put a serious scratch on it! Go figure!
And its mechanically spot on and that's whats important for an adv bike; plus its still got over 14 months bloody warranty on it anyway!
I've dropped it, crashed it & flipped it offroad, and it still is in great shape and never missed a beat - but heh its a DR and that's why they are great bikes, bloody bomb proof!
    Cheers, Dave

And I love my Black Beastie too!
She HAS been good to me! (unlike 2 previous ex-wives LOL!)

Funnily enough I was thinking the other day, she aint bucked me off since Easter Sunday when i hurt my back, not even on 3 trips to Odlins Rd! (maybe she loves me too LOL! Either that or I have turned into a right nana!) (The latter I think, which is probably why a Transalp is suddenly looking appealing! )
    Cheers, Dave

yeah the big turned me into a bit of a nana compared to my last couple of bikes, not sure why, i think the big just demands a little more respect, kinda found it intimadating at first but once you get past the size of the tank shes not that much more heavier than the 650s. a bit like going from a slapper to a real woman she just needs a little more respect but you still can f@#k her all the same
