might try for a trip later in the year for Taranaki/wairarapa and hook up with Neal again, but would have to plan around the family and book well ahead.
Plus where trying to buy or first house so till we get that all out of the way its hard to commit to anything at this stage.

Caught up with Nooles on the KCR had an awesome time, unfortunately i sprained me ankle and came home before the 42nd & fishers.
bit bummed but still had a great time.

Equity? In this financial cycle? Maybe not!

no but in 3 to 5 years i'll be laughing. we got the house for 23k under the registered value and its the worst house best street scenario, all that needs doing for a spruce up i can do for very minimal cost, so very good chance of a win win.

not alot around bro, 10bikekids got one. there was a black one on trademe last year that sold for 5k that was in newplymouth, theres a lot of them in britan and europe if ya cant score one here you might have to look at importing. there a link on the DRBIG thread on ADV to an outfit in england thats got shit loads of BIG's, africa's and super ten's in stock. could be worth having a look, if i find it i'll pm the link.
are you looking at getting one?

If you go for the 800, you get only 2HP more but the benefit of a rear disc and more comfy seat; however you lose tank volume, less ground clearance and higher seat height & its 12Kg heavier. Also it has double exhaust so double the damage exposure & double the burn area LOL!

    write up here interesting:
    http://www.suzukicycles.org/DR-serie...800S-Big.shtml

    specs here:
    http://www.bikez.com/brand/suzuki_mo...les.php?page=3

My gut feeling is with the 800 they headed towards more of a comfy adv tourer feel, the 750 is a bit more raw and offroady orientated; the big downside bein the lack of rear disc brake tho.

I'm no expert, but just my 2c wirth as someone with a developing interest in the Bigs!
    Cheers, Dave

come on mate its not size its how you use it.
you can always change the sticker

i think the 800's have got stronger frames, ive welded the weak spot on my 750 but i think the 800 where made a little better, the only thing i dont like on the 800 is the higher up pipes i dont like luggage racks and those pipes would cook me saddle bags

Didn't know the 800 was considered to have a stronger frame - good info Dino! I totally agree on the higher up pipes - saddle bag hell on BOTH sides!
