missus bought me a tankbag for chrissy.
took it back and swapped it for one that would actually fit, ended up with the oxford first timer expandeble, works a treat i cant expand it because it inpeads my riding position but she holds more than i need and those magnets are primo its good not haveing to fluff around getting my camera out of the givi- now i just unzip and clip and seen how im always the last to checkpoints
its great to get a photo or two in before everyone starts buggering of.

note to ones self: after harding up rear to carry a shit load of luggage i must rememeber to set it back to my standard weight setting before engaging some freshly graded gravel(metal).
man what a beast to keep up right when you get it wrong.
was fun at first but after 3-4 hours i called it quits, it was a bloody good work out but no fun- learnt my lesson gonna set it up right and leave it there.

hows that M21 going JATZ, i'm gonna throw the trail wing in the fire.
am looking at the TKC80 or the M21.

and the new tank bag is

Pics of the tank bag plz.

I've thought about one, but it's such an odd shaped tank I thought I'd be lucky to find one to fit

magnetic with flaps and a strap for the stearing head.
i cant expand mine as it stuffs up my riding position.
a smaller one with magnetic flaps would b ideal.
will post up as soon as our pc gets fixed

I saw a home made device on advrider, made out of a modified walking stick with a fork at the top, adjustable for length (somebody may have the link to the post)
Just extend to the length you need and pop it under the footpeg mount, move forward to lift the front wheel
Not a very good description but when you see one you'll know what I'm getting at

edit: FOUND IT ! you can stop looking now

Ahem, don't use a cam locking tent pole for heavy beasts. I cut down an old tent pole that worked perfectly for the DR650 but it doesn't even remotely lock tight enough to hold the XTZ up. I've found that carrying a pillion is a better option
