    Nudging 80,000.
I've only done about 12,000 of those, oil and filters change every 5000,valve clearances at the same time. Was having some fuelling "issues" but new needles, tubes, floats seem to have fixed that, but the damage had already been done I think.

God it never ends....... maybe I should retire it

nave did his piston and head work at 80,000 now hes clocked over 200k,
neals passed the 100k mark without touching any internals,
im gonna keep mine stock standard, knowing my luck if i tried to mod it she'l die on me.
Hey mate shes an old girl, you cant thrash them anymore, ive no doubt you would enjoy throwing a 950se around and it would take the thrashing in its strides.

Inlet valves were also toast, I guess it was a symptom of the worn rockers.

Arias pistons or Ross pistons. Check them out . Arias seem to do more bike stuff. They have pdf forms for you to put the specs you want e.g. compression height bore size etc. Also a lot of really good guff about piston design/terminoligy if you are interested.

I would put a linky but they never seem to work.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

my new boss is a southern man. and he knows of a engineer, down west coast.
he would be able to make a new piston for what ever your needs are.
    or repair the bore.

just a bit of useless info for everybody

    as you are..

I was wondering if the 800 bore would fit ?
seems the 800 has the same 105mm bore just has a different crank and longer stroke, according to Mr Hessler.

Depends how they did it. The conrod may be the same as the 750 and the piston compression height is lower to compensate for the extra stroke, therefore the barrels may be the same.

Or the conrod is longer than the 750 and the piston ch is the same which would mean a different height barrell.

Or the conrod is longer than 750 and the ch is lower which could still point at the same barrell being used.

    Oh I dunno.
