    Just got some new bars...

Put on the DR as a result of a nasty fall....really nasty....
Fell over in my garage onto a concrete floor, landed right on the end of the bar. Pushed it up and forward, hence new bars....
I got some Sunlines, apparently as good if not better then Renthal.
Had to drill holes to attach switch blocks as the old bars had these recesses in them.
    It is looking good.
I have also had the rear wheel re laced, nice job done, it is looking smart and shiney. Geez, the brakes are expensive! for old drum variety...
    Had to go OEM unfortunately....
Two new Heidenaus K60 to go onto the bike, new chain and sprocket set. Barkbusters next week and this tourist is ready for whatever the South can throw at him!

I will post a couple of photos soon as it is all done....

Ummm, don't drill holes. File off the switch block tabs.

Go to a brake shop. We got some truck brake material bonded to the XR shoes. A lot cheaper.

You need to ask us first - much cheaper

    Thought about it...

But, after 21 years, it hasn't done anything too bad, so maybe it will be okay.
Anyway, the switch blocks would eventually come loose and I didn't want to risk loose blocks etc and over tightening screws...
If it weakens the bar? I am not going to put that amount of stresses on it, I hope...

    FYI....
Picked up a set of flatslides (4 of) from a gsxr750 today for nuthin, been down in the man-cave since I got home and they fit after a bit of fiddling....
Just got to work out how to mount the suction from the fuel pump and make a bracket to hold the throttle cable, and source some sort of air filter setup and then......fire this puppy up
And then the fun begins with jetting....... God I hope this works
