To sell or not to sell

Hi guys, I have a bit of a problem, i have an old RGV250, and, as im sure you all know its a nice bike, but apparently alot of others have thought so too and quite a few amatuer mechanics have had a go fixing/improving it over the years and now its breaking down every other week, ive been told to sell it but i know im not going to find anything near as good around, so what do you guys think, should I or shouldnt I?

Well if you sell it in its current state, then surely you're gonna get shit all for it! Lol "quite a few amateur mechanics", maybe that's the problem?

yeah that is the problem, i had the local mechanic look at the chain, he came back the next day telling me that all the padding in the rear hub had worn out, and had been replaced with tape! :P and thats just the beggining so yeah........

if you like the bike why not get a real mechanic to quote to get it working properly. get all the problem fixed and you will have a nice bike again.

from what little I have seen of KB so far, I am sure if you posted what you needed for the bike (mentioning year and other important think) people would help you out in finding them.

    Sounds like a cool project

I usually figure it works our better to fix what you already have

Then you end up with something of known quality

Rather than just buying in a whole new different set of troubles

You should be able to pm someone anytime I though?

Why don't you make this into a thread for diagnosing your bike's problems? What's wrong with it? Symptoms? Problems? Etc etc, and we can try to help nurse it back to health
