Sweet, looking forward to it. Have some new pipes on the 950 and they sound sweet...not to mention a huge increase in throttle response and a bit more power...as if i need it! Will bring some beers for the aftermatch this time though.

Ya get the neptunes? Feel like making a sound bite with the beast accelerating under a bit of load (or open throttle) please please please (oh just one more, OK - please )

Ryan, Nah got the Leo Vince SBK from the US. The Ex was over there a month ago and she picked them up for me. Just over a grand NZD....bloody good price and the sound is nothing less than spectacular even with the inserts in. A little more weight then the Akra's but half the price. I am very happy with them and they look better than the Akra's also.

Remember to bring your earmuffs to the dusty as you will need em!

How is your beast comming along?

Nice - that's a pretty good price on a pair of cans, cant wait to hear it. A 950/990 on song with nice cans is the perfect symphony.

Tenzing is all good. Suspension has made a huge improvement (the old stuff was rooted). Foam air filters seem to work great (have a look in Tenzings thread). Working on luggage at the moment. Really need to do some more riding and give things a bit more of a work out. Only done 1000kms so far. The Michy Deserts don't appear to like SI high country gravel roads though - El has given his a pretty good hiding in one ride about 220km long - lots of cuts and a couple of chunks missing.

    Cheers R

Ryan thats odd about the Michies as they are more suited to the harder surfaces and not great in mud!!!!!! The 2 I have had on the back have been great, 10k out of the one on John's bike and I have done about 5k on the one on the 950 and should get one more decent ride out of it yet. Don't forget they are nearly a full knob and will be prone to chunking on the hard stuff compaired to a TKC or MT21.

By the way can you PM me WW's address in NN for the barby on the Friday, I'm still trying to sort accomodation as I will have a shit load of stuff with me as I will be on my way home from holiday with the kids and don't want some young bogans pinching it.

    Cheers

    The Final Countdown

    Greetings everyone !

Well, it's less than two weeks away until the ride begins and places are filling fast ! There are 21 people registered so far with rumours of at least half a
dozen locals and mates joining in as well. If you have not made up your mind whether to join in yet, please do, especially if you have never visited H.B.

Many are staying at the Top Ten Holiday Park here in Hastings and this is where the ride will start from, then end, approx. 12 hours and 600 km later !

The Ladies' ride will be led by Muzza DL and his lady, and will leave after the
main bunch departs. It will follow the same route, but travel independently
    at a gentler pace.

After the ride there will be a BBQ and beers ready as soon as we get back to the Holiday Park.
I will be phoning ahead to notify the chefs of our arrival time.
Now as far as drinks go, I could buy beer and then sell it for $1-$2 a can.
You would have to let me know what flavours you require, or do you just want BYO? Please post your preferences.

Food will be, steak, sausages, cooked by DR girl's husband, " DR bloke "
Salads etc prepared by my Mrs, " Jackie W ". Also some fancy potato dish prepared by the ever versatile DR girl !
There will be an extremely minimal charge of $10. If I could please collect this off you before we leave on Saturday morning, it would help greatly in determining food quantity.

Breakfasts and other meals will be up to the individual, as we are in the city
and there are plenty of options.

Can't think of anything else at the moment. Looking forward to catching up
with visitors on the Friday, and the the even keener ones on the Thursday !

If you require any further information or want to comment, please post on
    this thread.

    Cheers

    Tony
