What do you reckon... get a 'standard' one now, or wait til the 'R' model comes out and buy one then?

Looking to go back to a 'middleweight' bike, enjoyed riding a couple 'tourer' types with wide bars - love the motard type of ride, but the FZ1 riding position was a nice compromise. I dont want a 1000cc as it's getting me in too much trouble. Street Triple just seems like the best bet all round from where i'm looking.

Getting a Street Triple is only hypothetical at the moment. I'll be getting an extra job soon, once I know whether im planning to go Air Force or Flying School. Will see from there whether it's viable to actually go out and make the purchase.

Heh, sounds a bit like me.. I'm waiting to hear an announcement with regards to pricing before I make my decision. And if it's going to take 6 months before the R model comes out, forget it, I'm going for an 08 Street Triple.

speaking of not being able to wait......my black street triple arrives next week! (or should do) I suspect the Street Triple R would cost no less than $17k, going on percentage increase on prices mentioned on American forums....
